Alert Service Help

What is an alert service?

An alert service is invoked by a monitor to dispatch a specific type of alert, for example, a Slack message, a Twilio SMS, a Telegram message, an email, or a request to a webhook URL.

Each alert service is effectively a specific account (using a specific set of credentials or a specific access token) on a specific platform.

What types of alert services do you support?

We support the following types of alert services:

Note: The actual platform account credentials or access tokens are stored in transports, which means multiple alert services can dispatch alerts to the same destination. This is done for the sake of convenience and flexibility.

When you create a partition, we create a default "built-in" email alert service in the partition. That alert service cannot be deleted.
